Learn more about our Guest Speaker US Olympic Boxer and Medalist, Marlen Esparza
marlen esparza Marlen made history at the 2012 London Summer Games—where women’s boxing was  first added as an Olympic sport—by becoming the first U.S. female boxer to qualify for the games and the  first to medal.  Marlen’s Olympic Medal has elevated her into the pantheon of world-class U.S. athletes.  Marlen’s winning streak began long before the Summer Olympics. She has been ranked #1 in the US for the last eight consecutive years and has won eight consecutive U.S. National Championships, for which she has been awarded the title of “Outstanding Fighter of the Tournament.”  Throughout her international competition, besides her Olympic Medal, Marlen has won one Gold Medal, one Silver Medal, and one Bronze at the Pan American Championships as well as one Bronze Medal at the Women’s World Championships in India. Marlen is undefeated in every national tournament she has entered.  Marlen now looks to return to the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 to pursue the gold. Marlen is a resilient woman with a definite purpose who leads by example, showing girls that they can do anything their minds can conceive.
