How We Know We Make a Difference


In 2011, 1,198 health education participants reported the following:

  • 95% learned something new
  • 97% felt like they could apply that knowledge to their daily life
  • 90% learned a new healthy strategy
  • 93% can use that strategy to improve their life
  • 96% would share this knowledge with someone
  • 90% would attend another women's fund event

2011 adolescent girls' health education programs served 319 girls had the following outomes...

83% said they know that they have control over their health based on the decisions they make and the goals they set.


77% said they now know that they can manage their stress in a healthy manner.

92% said they intend to incorporate the recommended daily physical activity required in order to be healthy.

 


All of the girls surveyed said they feel comfortable applying the skills they have learned during the “What About Me?” in their everyday life.
