Long Range Plan 2011-2013

Community Collaboration

  GOAL 1: Utilize collaborative and productive partners to communicate our mission and increase our impact of our programs to the community.

 

Strategy 1:

 

We will continue to increase our partnerships with other health related organizations, community service providers, educational organizations, non-profit, churches, and medical affiliations. 

 

Strategy 2:

We will increase and enhance our communication of The Women’s Fund mission and programs to current and potential stakeholders.

 

Strategy 3:

We will be a recognized leader in the Houston health community regarding our targeted population and program goals.

Strategy 4:

We will become Houston’s local organization for comprehensive women’s health information.

 

Health Education & Outreach

 Goal 2: Provide health education programs and information that reduce risky health outcomes and increase good long-term health outcomes in individual, families and our communities.

 

Strategy 1:

 

We will work with our current partners to expand current programming to increase the number of individuals who benefit from our programs.

 

Strategy 2:

We will maintain our current focus on utilizing “Resiliency Skills” as an effective method for reducing risky health outcomes.

 

Strategy 3:

We will investigate partners to help maintain our health information to ensure it is accurate and meets the needs of marginalized communities.

 

Strategy 4:

We will expand our curriculum-based classes to our targeted populations.

Strategy 5:

We will continue to promote good health through the current community projects, BODY WORKS, Smart Lunch, Girl+1, webinars and seminars.

 

 

 

Resources

 Goal 3: Enhance and prudently utilize our resources.

 

Strategy 1:

We will continue our efforts to diversify our funding resources.

 

Strategy 2:

We will continue to practice cost efficient methods to manage our operational and administrative expenses.

 

Strategy 3:

We will expand our base of supporters and those individuals, businesses and other entities to increase their investment in our mission.

 

Strategy 4:

We will take advantage of appropriate opportunities to enhance services without duplicating community efforts.

Strategy 5:

We will continue to investigate university and volunteer organizations to increase our human capacity.

Strategy 6:

We will invest in the skills and knowledge of our employees, board of trustees, advisory board members to ensure the highest quality of service to The Women’s Fund.

 

Evaluation and Outcomes

 Maintain a comprehensive evaluation system to measure the effectiveness of our programs and activities.

 

Strategy 1:

We will maintain and adjust when appropriate the current Logic Model to measure the outcome expectations of programs.

 

Strategy 2:

We will review regularly of all expected organizational outcomes to ensure adjustments and changes to the organization can occur in a timely manner.
